The owner has pulled out of meetings and has involved the county councillor and indicated involving the MP.  Last letter 25/3/08 requiring site meeting.

County Solicitors consulted. They require another land search. The initial part is back from land registry. Computer at Land Registry now needs to be checked as title numbers known.

The residents submitted new evidence that has been researched by Council. Site meeting arranged with residents for 27/3/08 where path is to be marked for them to clear voluntarily.

Continue-negotiation: 27/3/08 - site meeting concluded with Gilston residents voluntarily agreeing to open the path as indicated by RoW. They will be erecting a fence along the southern edge of the path for their security. They will be providing a timetable and consulting the planners with regards to the height.

Path flooded deeply every Winter. Date.26/11/07

Long stretch under many inches of water. Adjoining footpath 31 also affected.

Installing a boardwalk is only solution, but this would be very expensive. Currently applying for grants for this work. Considering using volunteer labour.
